SS Service Daggers – Schutzstaffel Edged Weapons

SS Edged Weapons – SS Service Dagger & Chain Dagger

The SS Service Dagger was one of the most distinctive symbols of the Schutzstaffel. Its blade bears the motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue” (“My honor is loyalty”). Production ran from 1933 to 1942 in three main phases. In 1936, the SS Chain Dagger (Model 1936) followed, recognizable by the suspension chain with SS runes and skull motifs (on the chain, not the blade).
