Historical Context: Himmler Honor Daggers
SS Honor Daggers with Heinrich Himmler’s dedication are among the rarest edged weapons of the Third Reich. Produced between 1933 and 1935 in very limited numbers, they were exclusively awarded to selected SS leaders.
While standard SS daggers carried only the motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue”, certain presentation pieces were inscribed on the reverse with Himmler’s personal dedication “In herzlicher Kameradschaft H. Himmler”. Surviving examples are extremely rare today.
The best-known makers include Carl Eickhorn and Rich. Abr. Herder of Solingen. This example by Eickhorn, with complete inscription and original condition, represents a true highlight for any advanced collection.
