This category showcases highlights from the DG.de inventory – particularly rare, high-grade or historically important items from the fields of edged weapons, medals, porcelain, documents and other militaria. These are pieces that stand out due to their scarcity, condition, provenance or overall appearance.

What are DG.de highlights?

We designate as highlights those items which are clearly above average in at least one aspect – such as exceptional quality, low numbers, interesting history or a complete estate context. Many of these pieces are suitable as a centre-piece of a collection or as a single eye-catcher in a display.

Typical items in the highlights section

Outstanding edged weapons: rare variants, early production, inscribed blades or documented provenance.
Scarce orders & medals: medal groups, complete award sets, low-issue classes.
Exclusive porcelain figures: large Allach models, sought-after manufactories, premium condition.
Estates & groups: closed groups combining awards, documents, photos and equipment of one recipient.
Outstanding documents & photos: signed items, unit-related material or exceptional photo/document collections.

Selection criteria

Rarity: limited awards, rarely offered variants or difficult collecting areas.
Condition: above-average preservation, original completeness and matching patina.
Provenance: well-documented estates, named groups or links to specific units or individuals.
Display value: items with a strong visual and historical presence that upgrade any collection.

Notes for collectors

Limited availability: many highlights are one-off pieces; replacement is often difficult once sold.
Core pieces: high-quality key items often form the backbone of a collection and tend to be more stable in value.
