NPEA Bensberg Honor Dagger [Paul Holthoff] by Carl Eickhorn Solingen
NPEA [National Political Institutes of Education] Honour Dagger in rare Version. Modell 1935. The dagger is in near mint condition throughout. This early NPEA Dagger is with full Paul Holthoff inscription by Carl Eickhorn Solingen. This is one of the rarest daggers of the Third Reich.
Grip: This grip shows no repairs, and fits the crossguards. The grip eagle is the early, “High Necked” variety. All the details are visible throughout the bird's feathering, talons, wreath, and mobile swastika. This dagger is equipped with nickel crossguards and tang nut. These guards are in good shape.
Blade: Mirror polished blade grades mint The crisp, deeply etched NPEA-motto Mehr sein als scheinen. «Be modest but always excel» and Paul Holthoff inscription In treuer Kameradschaft Holthoff - NPEA Bensberg «In loyal comradeship Holthoff - NPEA Bensberg» retain 100% of the medium gray background frosting. The obverse ricasso of the blade is matching-etched formed by the firm's name and location, “Carl Eickhorn Solingen”. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour.
Scabbard: Steel scabbard retains approximately 99% of the original anodization and factory lacquer with no crazing or oxidation.
