SA Dagger [Late Version] with Hanger by RZM M7/42 (WKC Solingen)
Very attractive SA service dagger of the late production period (approx. 1939–1942), made by the RZM-approved maker WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie.), Solingen with the maker code RZM M7/42. Complete with the original SA hanger.
Grip: Brown wooden grip in exceptionally fine and uncommon condition. The national eagle in aluminium sits cleanly and flush in the wood. Above is the enameled SA emblem, originally clamped and untouched. The crossguards are silver-plated. The grip is tight with no play between the guards; no cracks or chips.
Blade: Double-edged, mirror-bright steel blade with fully preserved crossgrain. The front shows the motto, cleanly and deeply etched: “Alles für Deutschland”. The reverse carries the RZM marking: RZM M7/42 – WKC Solingen. The blade shoulders meet the lower guard without gaps. No nicks, no polish marks – overall an excellent blade appearance.
Scabbard: Original brown-painted steel scabbard with fully preserved paint. Both fittings are mounted with round, unopened screws. The tip (chape) is undamaged with no knocks or pressure marks. An exceptionally well-preserved late-production scabbard.
Hanger: Original SA hanger in brown leather, in outstanding condition. The functional snap hook is stamped RZM M5/71 (Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid). Metal parts (buckle, clasp, hook) are very well preserved.
Historical Context: Late-Production SA Service Dagger (RZM Period 1939–1942)
In the late production phase of SA service daggers (approximately 1939–1942), many pieces were produced under the RZM system and can be identified by the corresponding codes on the blade. The code M7/42 is associated with the Solingen maker WKC.
Late daggers often show a very clean, functional finish with a crisp motto “Alles für Deutschland” and well-preserved crossgrain. Original scabbard paint and untouched screws are particularly desirable indicators of originality.
A complete set with the original hanger—here with an RZM-marked snap hook (M5/71 Overhoff & Cie.)—adds significant collector appeal.
