SA Dagger [Early Version] by Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen
Early example of an SA Service Dagger of the Sturmabteilung (SA), manufactured between 1933–1935 by Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen. The lower crossguard is reverse-stamped with the group marking “Wf” (Westfalen) and the service number “No. 19163”. Total length: 37.3 cm.
Grip: Dark brown wooden grip with inlaid Nickel national eagle and enameled SA roundel, both original and firmly pinned from the inside. Upper and lower crossguards are made of nickel; the lower guard is hand-stamped on the reverse with “Wf” (Westphalia).
Blade: Exceptionally well-preserved double-edged blade with a clearly visible crossgrain finish. The obverse features the deep acid-etched SA motto “Alles für Deutschland” (“All for Germany”). On the reverse, the maker’s mark of Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen is neatly applied. The blade shoulders fit perfectly against the lower crossguard.
Scabbard: Iron scabbard, straight and free of dents. Two nickel-plated steel fittings, each secured laterally with two small screws. The upper fitting features a closed suspension ring.
