Luftwaffe Dagger [1937] with Hangers and Knot

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger is in EXC condition overall. Model 1937. The total length is 43.5 cm.

Grip: The Grip of this dagger is a fine, off-white color. It is wrapped with silver wire. The pommel is the style with pebbled backgrounds to the oak leaves. These oak leaves are nicely detailed, and they surround the raised swastikas that appear on both sides of the pommel. The crossguard is also a great example. The generic variety has large pebbling on the reverse panel. The eagles on these guards are especially nice as the tops of the wings slightly overlap the depiction. This bird has complete detail to the head, breast and wing feathering, as well as the talons.

Blade: The blade is in EXC+ condition and uncleaned. The blade washer is in place deep within the recesses of the guard.

Scabbard: The scabbard is being totally straight. It has the style bands which feature oak leaves positioned on 45 degree angles. The throat is left in the natural metal tone and is retained by two screws.
