SA Dagger [Early Version] by Gustav Felix Solingen
This SA [Sturmabteilung] Wingen Dagger in EXC+ condition. Model 1933. The total length is 36.8 cm. Early Nickel fittings, lower guard with "Ho" stamp. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Gustav Felix Solingen.
Grip: The nickel crossguards are in good condition as is the nickel tang nut. The lower reverse crossguard is Gruppe marked "Ho". The grip has medium to high ridge construction with nice, pleasing, grain running vertically throughout. The SA runes button is nice placed.
Blade: The blade of this example, is in EXC+ condition. The reverse ricasso is etched with the G. Felix logo. The ovals contain the firm's name and location, “Gustav Felix Gloriawerk Solingen”.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. They exactly match the patination of the crossguards, and are retained by four nickel screws.
