Luftwaffe Dagger [1937] by P.D. Lüneschloss Solingen

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger, produced by Lüneschloss and is in uncleaned condition. Model 1937. The total length is 42.7 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: P.D. Lüneschloss Solingen.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a beauty, being a shade of light orange and is tightly wrapped with wire. The pommel is a great example. The oak leaves which surround the swastikas are extremely well rendered and hand engraved right up to the smooth center ridge line. The eagle retain full detail to the head, feathering and talons.

Blade: This blade is etchet on the reverse with the Lüneschloss trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “P.D. Lüneschloss Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.

Scabbard: The bands are a fine aluminum having excellent detail to the oak leaves. The throat is slightly thick.
