Luftwaffe Dagger [1937] with Hangers & Portepee by Carl Eickhorn Solingen

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger, produced by Carl Eickhorn and is in MINT condition overall. Model 1937. The total length is 43.0 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Eickhorn Solingen.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a beauty, being a shade of dark orange and is tightly wrapped with wire. The pommel is a great example. The oak leaves which surround the swastikas are extremely well rendered and hand engraved right up to the smooth center ridge line.

Blade: The blade is in MINT condition throughout. This blade is etched on the reverse with the Eickhorn trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “Original Eickhorn Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is also a fine example. The throat is slightly thick and is retained by two screws.
