Shashka model 1881 for officers, Soviet Union, dated 1934. Fullered single-edged blade with double-edged point, Cyrillic acceptance mark and date "1934" on the ricasso. Stamped brass hilt marked by Slatoust with hammer and sickle and "C.C.C.P." on the knob cap. Spiral carved wooden handle. Wooden scabbard covered in black leather with brass mounts.
