NSKK Dagger [Late Version] with Hanger by RZM M7/73 (F.&A. Helbig Steinbach)

Beautiful NSKK service dagger from the late production period (approx. 1939–1942), manufactured by the RZM-approved producer F.&A. Helbig, Steinbach with the RZM code M7/73. Complete with an original Assmann hanger – a matching and exceptionally well-preserved set.

Grip: Brown-stained wooden grip in excellent condition. The aluminium eagle is cleanly fitted and sits flush with the wood. Above it is the enameled SA insignia, original, untouched and properly pinned. The crossguards are made of steel and chrome-plated, typical for late-period production. The grip fits tightly between the guards with no cracks or gaps.

Blade: Double-edged, mirror-bright steel blade with fully preserved crossgrain. The front bears the deeply etched motto: “Alles für Deutschland”. The reverse is stamped with the RZM manufacturer logo: RZM M7/73 – F.&A. Helbig, Steinbach.

The blade shoulders fit the crossguard perfectly and without any gaps. No nicks, no polishing marks – an exceptionally fine blade.

Scabbard: Original black-painted steel scabbard with 100% intact finish. Both fittings are made of steel and attached with original round, unopened screws. The tip shows no dents or impact marks – a remarkably preserved late NSKK scabbard.

Hanger: Original NSKK leather hanger in excellent condition. The fully functional snap hook is stamped RZM M5/8 (Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid). All metal parts (buckle, clip, hook) are made of steel and very well preserved. A complete and fully authentic carrying assembly.

Historical Context: Late-Period NSKK Daggers (1939–1942)

The late-period NSKK service daggers were introduced from 1939 onward, after the RZM system had been fully standardized. This resulted in clearly defined manufacturer codes and a highly uniform, industrialized production process.

The manufacturer F.&A. Helbig, Steinbach, marked with the RZM code M7/73, was among the established producers of the period, supplying both SA and NSKK organizations.

Well-preserved examples with a pristine blade, undamaged scabbard finish, and a complete, authentic Assmann hanger are considered highly collectible today, as many late-period NSKK daggers show noticeable signs of wear.
