NSKK Dagger [Late Version] with Hanger by RZM M7/12 (WMW Solingen)
Very well-preserved NSKK service dagger of the late production period, dating from approximately 1939–1942. Manufactured by the officially approved RZM producer Weyersberg Max Waffenfabrik (WMW), Solingen, bearing the maker code RZM M7/12. The dagger is offered complete with its original hanger, forming a coherent and authentic late-period NSKK ensemble.
Grip: Dark brown wooden grip of typical late construction. The national eagle is cleanly and flush-set into the wood. Above it is the enamelled SA emblem, originally crimped and untouched. The crossguards are made of zinc with a nickel- or chrome-plated finish. The grip fits tightly between the guards with no movement or play.
Blade: Double-edged, highly polished steel blade with fully retained crossgrain. The obverse is clearly and deeply etched with the motto “Alles für Deutschland”. The reverse bears the RZM maker mark “RZM M7/12 (WMW Solingen)”. The blade shoulders close precisely and without gaps against the crossguard.
Scabbard: Original steel scabbard with black painted finish in exceptionally fine condition. The finish is fully preserved. Both scabbard fittings are made of steel and secured at the sides. The chape is undamaged, showing no dents, pressure marks or impacts.
Hanger: Original NSKK leather hanger in very fine condition. The functional snap clip is stamped “RZM M5/71” for Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid. The metal components (buckle, clip and hook) are of steel and show only minor, age-consistent wear. A fully matching and period-correct carrying assembly.
Historical context: Late production NSKK service dagger
The NSKK service dagger was derived from the SA dagger and officially introduced for members of the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) in 1934. While early examples were manufactured with nickel silver fittings, later production reflects increasing material simplification.
This late-period example, produced from approximately 1939 onward, is typical of RZM-regulated manufacture, featuring zinc fittings, simplified construction, and a clearly defined RZM maker code. The code M7/12 identifies the Weyersberg Max Waffenfabrik, Solingen as the manufacturer.
Complete sets with well-preserved blade, scabbard, and a matching RZM-marked NSKK hanger are particularly desirable, as they accurately document the final production phase of NSKK daggers.
