Luftwaffe Dagger [M1937] by Alcoso Solingen

German Third Reich Luftwaffe Dagger by Alcoso ACS Solingen. This 2nd Model Luftwaffe is in Near Mint condition throughout. Model 1937. The total length is 43.0 cm.

Grip: The grip is an attractive dark pumpkin orange color. This grip is in good condition throughout, and is tightly wrapped with a wire. The pommel and crossguard are the aluminum type. This pommel has excellent hand-enhanced oak leaf details on both sides. The swastikas on either side are nicely vaulted. The wing feathering is still mostly crisp as well. The pebbling in the guard panel shows some minor wear, but is generally good. The upper quillon arms have the engraved-style oak leaves and acorns, with good hand work evident throughout the veins ans acorn caps.

Blade: The blade of this example is in MINT condition. The reverse ricasso is stamped with Alcoso Solingen trademark. The leather blade buffer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is completely straight throughout, with crisply pebbled panels. The carrying bands display fine detail to the oak leaves. The throat is retained by two dome-head screws.
