This is a Lionhead Saber featuring the best of materials. Model at 1900. The hilt has good brass base throughout. It depicts a lion head with a jawless design. He does have good detail, though, to his whiskers, brow and mane which flows backward. The back spine has a floral detailing around the center. The obverse of crossguard has raised out crossed swords. The grip appears to be a snakeskin type and it is in fairly good condition, covering at 100%. There is also an old portepee, which is still attached to the hilt. The scabbard is a straight example and reflects good nickel plating. The scabbard is fitted with dual ring carriage.
