Grip: This bayonet has excellent nickel-plated hilt. The plating appears to be nearly 100%. The button and mortise work well. The stag grip plates are extremely good looking. The plates have a very dark coffee color background in the grains and they are slightly lighter at the grain tops. The edges have turned a pleasing golden color. These grip plates are retained by nickel rivets having dressed heads on the obverse.
Blade: The blade is the long variety. It has beautiful bright nickel-plated surfaces and remains in EXC++ mint condition throughout. The obverse portrays the remembrance in one line in the center. At the left and right of the remembrance is a series of oak leaves and floral designs. The reverse ricasso is stamped with the small hammering Siegfried which is positioned over the firm’s name and location, “E. Pack & Söhne Solingen”.
Scabbard: The scabbard is straight throughout without painting.
