This Army Officer's Dagger is in EXC++ condition with Hangers and Portepee. Model 1935. The total length is 40.0 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: ALCOSO ACS Solingen.
Grip: The white solid celluloid grip is in outstanding condition. In addition there is much graining, particularly around the two edge areas.
Blade: The Blade is completely bright and retains 100% cross grain with needle-like tip. The trademark is the very early Alcoso style that was used prior to 1936. It features a large set of scales with the initials of the firm, “ACS” interspersed. This early mark does not feature a company name. The original small leather blade washer is in place.
Scabbard: The scabbard is nice and straight, with good pebbled panels. The bands retain excellent detail to the oak leaves, with lots of hand enhancement evident throughout. The scabbard throat is retained by two flatter-head style Alcoso screws. The silvering is excellent throughout this scabbard, to include the edges.
