Purchase: Large Lot from the property of SA-Obergruppenführer Wilhelm Freiherr von Schorlemer
Large loaf from the property of SA-Obergruppenführer Wilhelm Freiherr von Schorlemer. Honour dagger of the Sturmabteilung [SA] in early production 1933-1935. The maker on the blade is Aesculap Tuttlingen. Lower crossguard with the group stamp No for Nordsee.
Grip: Brown wooden grip, the national eagle in the grip is made of nickel, above it is the enamelled SA emblem, these are stapled on the inside and show no damage. The lower crossguard is hand-stamped with the group stamp No [Nordsee] on the back and the name of SA-Obergruppenführer W. F. von Schorlemer on the front. Both crossguards and the grip screw are decorated to a high standard.
Blade: The blade is clean without rust or nicks. On the obverse of the blade is the SA motto, this is deep with the inscription: Alles für Deutschland, the reverse has the manufacturer's logo: Aesculap, Tuttlingen.
Scabbard: The scabbard is made of iron and covered with brown leather. The two scabbard fittings are made of nickel-plated sheet steel and are also decorated to a high standard. The upper fitting is inscribed: Wilhelm Freiherr von Schorlemer, 1 November 1933 The fittings are held in place with two screws on each side.
