This early HY [Hitler Youth] Knife shows some age. Model 1933-1935. The total length is 26,0 cm. The Knife has the maker mark on the blade: Tiger Solingen.

Grip:  The steel base has good nickel plating. The grip plates are the early checkered black bake-o-lite having nickel-plated steel rivets with dressed heads on the obverse. The Hitler Youth insignia is in good condition with fine enamel and good bright red, white, silver and black swastika colors. The reverse plate have a small damage on the checkered black bake-o-lite.

Blade: The blade of this piece is in used condition. The early blade is the style without a ricasso. The blade has the motto Blut und Ehre! (Blood and Honour!). The reverse is stamped “Tiger Solingen / Ges. Gesch”. The original blade washer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is still nice and straight. The paint shows signs of usage on both sides. Attached to the scabbard is an excellent leather hanger. The leather is still supple and is marked with an oak leaf and the superimposed initials “LFS” on the reverse.
