This SA [Sturmabteilung] Honor Dagger is in EXC+ condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.4 cm. Early Nickel fittings. Maker mark on the blade: Gebr. Krusius (GAZELLE) Solingen.
Grip: This grip appears to be in mint condition beneath the coating and is a medium contour ridge constructed. The grip perfectly fits the crossguards. The grip eagle is the “high-necked” type. The wing feathering, wreath and swastika are still quite crisp.
Blade: The blade is in fine condition. The reverse ricasso is etched with the firm's name and location, “Gebr. Krusius (GAZELLE) Solingen” contained with ovals and the inscription: Dem Sieger SA-Sturmbann II/143, 23.8.36 (To the victor SA-Sturmbann II/143, 23.8.36).
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is a fine example. There is also some original lacquer scattered around the scabbard. A few minor age spots are visible in the finish, but overall it is a pretty nice example. The scabbard mounts are of solid matching nickel, in good condition.
