MSVN Fascist Leader's Dagger [M1937] - Italian

MSVN Model 1937 Italian Fascist Dagger. This MSVN (Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale) Dagger is in outstanding condition. Total length 35,2 cm.

Grip: The hilt is the standard aluminum variety having the reptilian style eagle head which looks to the viewer’s right. The quillon below curves upward. Set into the hilt grip area are black Bakelite smooth-finished grips. The obverse grip has a brass inlaid fascist insignia. It consist of a group of tied sticks which have an axe head sticking out of the right edge. The grip plates are retained by a matching brass screw in the reverse.

Blade: The blade is an extremely fine chrome plated example being in full mint condition. It has a good needlelike tip and is fashioned with a short ricasso, single cutting edge and false edge that runs about halfway back the upper spine.

Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. This shell has good original paint. Overall thought this paint is about 99% and still has its original factory shine. The scabbard is equipped with brass carrying bands and eyelets with matching carrying rings.
