Original German Reich employment record book (“Arbeitsbuch”) issued in accordance with the law of 26 February 1935, issued by the Employment Office of Siegen in 1939. This is a contemporary personal document from the period of the German Reich, containing various handwritten entries and employment records from before and during the Second World War.
Construction: Typical original format with cardboard cover and embossed Reich eagle on the front. Issued to a female holder, featuring period handwritten entries, information regarding date of birth, residence, as well as several employment and workplace records.
Entries: The document contains several contemporary employment entries and employer notations from the Siegen region, including records from the wartime years 1939–1945. Such documents provide interesting insight into civilian working life and labor administration within the German Reich.
