Weight about 6 kg. Condition: 2 (very good preservation). Item no. 3542.

Material & Design: Heavy, curved steel plate with high-quality enamel coating in vivid colors. The embossed lettering is tri-colored and sharply defined. Such enamel signs were typically mounted on local party offices or public buildings of the NSDAP during the 1930s.

Reverse inscription: “Hier spricht die NSDAP – Volksgenossen, braucht Ihr Rat und Hilfe, so wendet euch an die NSDAP.” This reverse inscription is typical for authentic propaganda signs officially distributed by the NSDAP and underlines the originality and historic significance of this piece.

Condition: Excellent example showing only minor signs of age. Small enamel flakes near the mounting holes and edges, as commonly seen on original examples. Lettering and colors remain bright and vivid – a striking and rare historical artifact.

Historical Context: NSDAP Propaganda Signs

Enamel signs with the slogan “Hier spricht die NSDAP” (“Here speaks the NSDAP”) were used as official information and propaganda boards during the National Socialist era. They marked local party offices, public gathering sites, or information points of the NSDAP.

The reverse phrase “Volksgenossen, braucht Ihr Rat und Hilfe…” (“Comrades, if you need advice and help…”) was designed to portray the party as a source of public support and trust. Such signs were part of the NS regime’s wide-reaching propaganda strategy.

Today, original examples are rare surviving artifacts of daily political propaganda from the 1930s and are considered valuable items of historical documentation.
