NSDAP Flag with stick
Original NSDAP flag with flagpole, featuring a standing swastika on both sides, each printed on a white sewn-on panel. The flag shows the typical rectangular format and well-balanced proportions characteristic of this type.
Flag cloth: Red fabric with emblems applied on both sides, each placed on a separately attached white panel. The prints display a clearly standing swastika in period-correct execution. The dimensions of the flag are approximately 66 × 49 cm.
Pole: Wooden flagpole with an overall length of approx. 90 cm. The pole is functionally preserved and forms a coherent unit with the flag cloth.
Historical Classification: NSDAP Flags and Party Symbolism
Flags of the NSDAP served during the period of National Socialism as central propaganda and representational objects. They were used at party events, marches, and for the decoration of official and semi-public spaces.
Typical for many party flags is the double-sided emblem applied on a white sewn-on panel, ensuring clear visibility from both directions. Flags mounted on poles were often used in stationary displays or carried at smaller events.
Surviving original flags today represent historical artefacts. They are of collector interest due to their symbolism, manufacturing method, and authentic state of preservation.
