SS Full Röhm Honor Dagger [Ernst Röhm] by Rich. Abr. Herder Solingen
SS Honor Dagger, early production 1933–1935, featuring the complete Ernst Röhm dedication. Manufactured by Rich. Abr. Herder, Solingen. Total length: 37.4 cm.
Grip: The grip is crafted from black ebony and fitted with the original SS runes and national eagle, both secured with internal pins and never removed. The wooden grip fits perfectly to the crossguards, which, along with all fittings, are made of high-quality nickel silver. The lower crossguard is stamped with the Roman numeral “I” (Munich).
Blade: The blade is bright but shows traces of later, unprofessional polishing on both sides. The obverse bears the SS motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue” (“My Honor is Loyalty”), while the reverse carries the full dedication: “In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Röhm”. At the lower part of the blade appears the maker’s mark “Rich. Abr. Herder, Solingen”. The blade shoulders fit precisely into the lower crossguard.
Scabbard: The scabbard is made of steel with its original blued finish, free of dents or damage. Both fittings are crafted from nickel-plated steel sheet, secured laterally with two screws each. A suspension ring is mounted on the upper fitting.
