Luftwaffe Dagger [1937] with Hangers and Portepee by Paul Weyersberg Solingen

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger, produced by Weyersberg and is in NEAR MINT condition overall. Model 1937. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Paul Weyersberg Solingen. The total length is 42.8 cm.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a beauty, being a shade of orange and is tightly wrapped with wire. The pommel is a great example. The oak leaves which surround the swastikas are extremely well rendered and hand engraved right up to the smooth center ridge line.

Blade: The blade is in MINT condition throughout. This blade is etched on the reverse with the Weyersberg trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “Paul Weyersberg Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is also a fine example. The throat is slightly thick and is retained by two side-screws.
