Ownership changed over time: in 1900, Walter Lütters and Karl Ernst were the owners; in 1914, Walter Lütters and widow Emilie Lütters; and from 1928 to 1939, Walter Lütters and widow Anna Lütters. During the Nazi era, Carl Lütters & Cie. produced political daggers and edged weapons. In 1935, it received the RZM code M7/59. The company expanded its facilities in 1971 to Bismarckstraße 3-7 and operates today as "Löwenmesser," producing professional handcrafted knives, scabbards, scissors, and pocket knives for crafts, industry, agriculture, and fishing.
