German Army (Heer) Infantry Lieutenant (Leutnant) Officer's Tunic. The tunic is fabricated from a fine Army wool, while the contrasting collar is in forest wool. The shoulders are adorned with Lieutenant's (Leutnant) shoulder boards, each board incorporating with four rows of gray threading interlaced with fine silvered aluminum wire, wrapped around white cord, in a chevron formation, with a loop creating a button hole for uniform attachment at the neck end, on a white wool base, each of the loops with a iron button with a pebbled upper securing the board to the tunic. Both sides of the collar at the opening have Infantry Officer's collar tabs in gray threading interlaced with fine silvered aluminum wire, with the two centre portions in white embroidery, on a forest green wool base. There is a dual hook and eye at the opening of the collar, ensuring a snug fit at the neck line, complemented by three brown buttons on the inside of the collar for placement of a protective liner. There are four pockets on the front, one on each breast and larger ones at the waist on both sides.
