This Miniature Hunting Hirschfänger by Busch is in EXC+ condition. The total length is 22.8 cm. The Cutlass has the maker mark on the blade: Busch & Sohn Solingen.

Grip: Silver-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear/dark age patina to the Alcoso pattern deluxe oak leaf embellished pommel with acorn pommel nut, ornate crossguard, and clamshell with raised stag and doe motif. Dark, staghorn grip shows light age toning with no cracks or chips.

Blade: Plated, double-etched blade measuring 5 ½” in length grades MINT, showing light surface runner marks only and no lifting or nicks to cutting edge. Obverse/reverse blade feature matching 3 ¾” long light gray frosted panels with raised floral motifs flanking stags in a forest setting on the obverse and hunting dogs on the reverse. Both etched panels retain 100% of the light gray background frosting with no wear or lifting and the blade is complete with original green felt blade buffer pad.

Scabbard: Green, pebbled-leather covered scabbard is perfect with no wear, rips, tears or creases. Dent-free, silver-plated scabbard fittings show surface wear/age patina with no loss of plating. Obverse lower fitting features a detailed hunting scene of a stag in forest setting, and upper fitting is complete with acorn pattern suspension lug.
