Luftwaffe Dagger [M1937] with Hangers

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe is in EXC+ condition throughout. Model 1937. The total length is 43.2 cm. The Dagger is together with the two-piece-hangers.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is an off-white example. It is wrapped with a thin twisted brass wire. The crossguards have matching toned aluminum, featuring an eagle which flies to the viewer's left and clutches a mobile swastika in his talons. The reverse pebbled pattern is still good, with most of the factory blackening intact. The upper quillon arms have the engraved oak leaves and acorns, with good treatment over the leaves, being a shaded style rendering. The ferrule matches the other hilt fittings.

Blade: The blade still grades at about excellent plus without maker marks.

Scabbard: The scabbard is a generic style, showing just a little bit of age. The bands feature the oak leaves that are positioned at 45 degree angles, being done in a white metal. The thin throat is retained by a side headless screw in the center reverse.
