This rarer example is in bronze, and comes with a blue award certificate. Awarded for specialachievement during the 1938 flight competition. This specimen is in flawless condition. Large and impressive oval shaped bronzed aluminium non-portable medallion/plaque. Stunning pre WW2 craftsmanship. Measures approx. 94,60 mm by 76,68 mm. Raised detail to obverse and reverse. Large NSFK symbol to the centre featuring Pegasus with a large swastika superimposed. Around the outer of the obverse is the wording 'Nationalsozialstisches Fliegerkorps Deutschlandflug 1938'. Reverse has an impressed issue number '5351' and the wording 'MIT UNSEREM FÜHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGEN WIR FÜR UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND' (In step with our leader we fly for our eternal Germany). Awarded to those who assisted with the national flying competition 1938. These make a great centrepiece to a display of WW2 German badges, medals and insignia.
