This lot is a component of an Important grouping to SA Oberscharführer Karl M., born in 1905. He participated in the so-called "Hitlerputsch" in Munich on 8./9. November 1923. For this action he was awarded the "Blood Order" of the NSDAP in 1933. Karl M. grew up in a nationalist rightwing family in Munich. His father August served with "Einwohnerwehr München" after WWI. His brother, Max, died in 1921 suffering from his WWI injuries. Despite his early involvement at the Putsch, Karl joined the NSDAP fairly late on 1.7.1930. His NSDAP membership number was 263069, and his "Blood Order" issue number was 1031. This plate and other items, having been found at a household clearance in Munich in late 2018.
