Grip: Riveted black grip plates with herringbone pattern. The front grip plate contains the inset HJ emblem, reportedly movable. The grip plates are cleanly riveted and show age-related signs of use and storage. The single-sided curved guard, or quillon, is made of nickel-plated iron and is magnetic. The nickel-plated surface shows age-appropriate patina and traces of wear.
Blade: Single-edged blade with preserved tip. The front side bears the period motto “Blut und Ehre!”, as found on HJ knives up to 1938. The reverse side is marked with the maker Tiger Solingen and the RZM marking M7/68. Crossgrain is still visible on both sides of the blade. The blade shows age- and storage-related traces, minor spotting and normal signs of use.
Scabbard: Black lacquered iron scabbard with age-related scratches, carrying marks and partial lacquer loss. The leather hanger loop is present and consists of a doubled leather strap. The leather and rivet show clear signs of age and use, but the carrying device is preserved.

Historical Background: HJ Knife with Motto and Badge Grouping
The HJ knife was one of the best-known edged weapons associated with the Hitler Youth. Earlier and middle-period production examples are often identified by the blade motto “Blut und Ehre!”. Later versions became increasingly standardized through the RZM system and bear corresponding maker or approval markings.
The marking RZM M7/68 refers to the maker Lauterjung & Co. / Tiger Solingen. Solingen was one of the most important centers of German knife and edged weapon production. HJ knives by this maker are known in various production variants, including examples with motto and RZM marking.
The accompanying badge and medal grouping includes pieces from different historical contexts, including First World War awards, later commemorative and front fighter decorations, association badges, air-raid protection and organizational badges as well as smaller patriotic pins. Such mixed groupings often reflect long-preserved household or collection holdings.
This article combines an HJ knife from the middle production period with an extensive grouping of historical badges and awards. The individual pieces are offered together and should be assessed from the images with regard to condition, maker, execution and completeness.
