German Army Officer’s Dagger [M1935] by WKC Solingen

This Army Officer's Dagger is in EXC+ condition with Hangers and Portepee. Model 1935. The total length is 40.0 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark WKC Solingen.

Grip: The grip is a beautiful, orange. The gorgeous pommel has twelve standing oak leaves are as crisp as the day they were stamped, together with the alternating acorns. The crossguard is has the choice, “ax head” style beak. It is completely crisp throughout the bird's eye, his fine checkered breast feathering, wing feathering and talons. The wreath has nice, pronounced oak leaves with a fine raised swastika in the center. The reverse of the guard as well as the top of the guard have lots of frosting evident under the black patination.

Blade: The blade is in MINT condition, with all of the crossgrain, a mirror finish and a needle-like tip. This remarkable near mint blade is etched on the reverse with the knight head trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “WKC Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.

Scabbard: The bands feature overlapping oak leaves, with each leaf having hand enhancement to the veins. The throat is a thicker style, and, as we normally see on WKC pieces, is retained by one side screw on the right.
