Sword for officers of the imperial and royal navy, model 1907. Brass hilt with hinged guard, eagle still bearing all of the ruler's insignia. Nickel-plated single-edged blade with fullers on both sides. Gilt brass knucklebow hilt with lion's head pommel, guard plate with applied ruler's monogram ‘FJI.’. Grooved grip scales of mother-of-pearl. Leather scabbard with brass mountings.
