National Rifle Association Cutlass by Original Eickhorn Solingen
German Shooting Association Hirschfänger, manufactured by Carl Eickhorn Solingen. Typical example of an association Hirschfänger featuring a stag horn grip, nickel-plated blade and etched hunting scenes. A period piece associated with the German Shooting Association.
Grip: Grip made of stag horn with applied emblem of two crossed rifles. The narrow grip ferrule and oval pommel cap are secured to the tang by means of a pommel nut. The crossguard is decoratively formed as two stag legs, extending upward and downward. The clamshell guard is executed in the form of a shell.
Blade: Nickel-plated wedge-shaped blade with etched hunting scenes. The ricasso bears the maker mark “Original Eickhorn Solingen”. The blade corresponds to the characteristic configuration of Hirschfängers used by the German Shooting Association.
Scabbard: Steel scabbard fitted with two mounts in typical configuration. The scabbard complements the overall appearance of this association Hirschfänger.
