Stag Gripped Short Bayonet by Puma Solingen

This Stag Gripped Short Bayonet is in near mint condition. The Bayonet is with the maker mark Puma Solingen.

Grip: The stag grip plates on this piece are real beauties, being cut to fit perfectly. They have a very pleasing brown coloration and fine grains. The edges of the plates have toned to a mellow golden color. The plates are retained by offset rivets and spanners. The rivets retain all of their head plating. This Short Bayonet has a fine, nickel-plated hilt. The plating appears to be 100% intact throughout and looks good. The mortise button and lock work well, and the original red felt insert is present in the rifle slot.

Blade: The short blade is the style with a narrow fuller. This blade is bright throughout and is in mint condition. The reverse ricasso is stamped with Puma Solingen logo. The original blade washer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is straight throughout. The paint is still excellent, with the original factory brightness. The attached patent leather frog is in very nice condition, showing only mild attic crazing.
