Luftwaffe Dagger [1937] with Hangers and Portepee by Paul Weyersberg Solingen

This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger, produced by Weyersberg and is in EXC++ condition overall. Model 1937. The total length is 42.8 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Paul Weyersberg Solingen.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a beauty, being a shade of light orange and is tightly wrapped with wire. The pommel is a great example. The oak leaves which surround the swastikas are extremely well rendered and hand engraved right up to the smooth center ridge line.

Blade: The blade is in EXC++ condition throughout. This blade is etched on the reverse with the Weyersberg trademark having the firm's initials and location beneath, “Paul Weyersberg Solingen”. The leather washer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is also a fine example. The throat is slightly thick and is retained by one side-screw.
