Italian Youth Alpine Knife

This rarely seen Italian Youth knife is in EXC++ condition throughout. Model 193-1945. The total length is 29.5 cm.

Grip: The eagle pommel is the style that have eyes. The gilded finish is in excellent condition. The pommel features an open beak on the eagle which looks to the viewer’s left. There is a good brow and feathered backstrap all of which show nice detail to the feathering. A small round nut on the top acts to remain the tang. The ferrule below has a raised area in the center that has a rope-like design. The crossguard is a flat oval shape having round quillons. The grip is in excellent condition having 95% of the original paint. The grip is wrapped with dual twisted brass wire.

Blade: The blade still grades at about mint.

Scabbard: The scabbard is a sheath made of leather. This leather shows some mild age but is still intact. The leather is sewn up the edges of both sides. On the reverse there is a matching leather belt loop which is retained by two rivets.
