Large-format flags of the NSDAP were primarily used for the representative decoration of party buildings, assembly halls, and major public events. Their size was intended to ensure a strong visual impact over long distances.

Typical for these flags is the double-sided execution of the emblem on a white sewn-on panel, allowing uniform visibility from both directions. Such flags were often displayed in a stationary manner, suspended on walls, façades, or in interior spaces.

Surviving original flags of this size are today regarded as significant historical artefacts. They document the propagandistic use of symbols and are of particular collector interest due to their dimensions and authentic condition.
