Mexican Cavalry Officer's Saber by P. D. Lüneschloss Solingen
This Mexican Cavalry Officer's Saber is with german maker mark on the blade P. D. Lüneschloss Solingen. Total Length is 104,7 cm.
Grip: The grip is totally intact and in very fine condition. This grip is tightly wrapped with a skein of triple twist brass wire, the center strand being of larger proportion. The Eagle head is finely detailed and shows evidence of hand enhancement throughout. Mexican "Liberty Cap" over Mexican Eagle with snake in beak in cast relief on counter-guard. Iron guard with three outer branches connecting to one inner "D" guard.
Blade: The blade of this example is of highest quality, with an excellent nickel-plated finish. The original blade buffer is in place.
Scabbard: The scabbard is nice and straight throughout. The scabbard is fitted with dual ring carriage.
