German WWII Ultra Rare Model 1007 Lion Head Sword
Exceptionally rare German Army officer’s sword of Model No. 1007, one of the most elaborately decorated and prestigious sword patterns of its period. This model is distinguished by its richly ornamented lion head hilt and outstanding quality of manufacture, making it a true rarity among advanced collections.
Hilt: Solid brass hilt with a finely detailed lion head pommel, set with red glass eyes. The hilt displays elaborate baroque decoration. The black celluloid grip is fitted with a fully intact gilded wire wrap. The guard features a large German Army eagle with downward-swept wings.
Blade: Single-edged, slightly curved steel blade with high-quality nickel plating in mirror finish. The blade is securely mounted and originally peened. The original blade washer is present.
Scabbard: Steel scabbard with original black painted finish. The surface shows only minimal, age-consistent wear and remains in very good overall condition.
Measurements: Overall length approximately 107.0 cm.
