Spare part in typical configuration for the SS service dagger, suitable for completion, restoration or replacement of a corresponding dagger. Variants fitted with an aluminum eagle are more commonly encountered on later SS dagger production.
Construction: Wooden grip in the characteristic shape of the SS service dagger. The inserted aluminum eagle is present and properly fitted. Above it is the enameled SS emblem, period-typical internally crimped. Both emblems are firmly mounted in the grip and correspond to the typical configuration found on later SS service dagger grips.

The SS Service Dagger is among the best-known organizational edged weapons of its period. While early examples commonly feature nickel silver eagles, later production increasingly used aluminum eagles.
Individual dagger components and spare parts, including grips, crossguards and scabbard fittings, are today collected and used for the completion or restoration of historical daggers.
