Swiss Bayonet 1889/18 by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen
Original Swiss bayonet Model 1889/18, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. The bayonet is offered complete with an original leather belt frog by Fr. Studer, Grafenried and is preserved in a very good, coherent overall condition.
Grip: Grip fitted with wooden grip scales, secured with rivets on both sides. A spring-loaded locking mechanism is located on the top of the grip, ensuring secure attachment to the rifle. The pommel features the T-shaped slot for mounting on the bayonet lug.
Crossguard: Solid steel crossguard with an integrated muzzle ring on the spine side of the blade, manufactured according to Swiss military specifications.
Blade: Straight double-edged steel blade with a clean, well-defined profile. The obverse bears the manufacturer marking “Waffenfabrik Neuhausen”, clearly and legibly stamped.
Scabbard and frog: Steel scabbard made of sheet-rolled steel with a dark blued finish, retaining stud and ball finial. The accompanying leather belt frog by Fr. Studer, Grafenried, completes the bayonet in period-correct form.
