Personalized Imperial Navy Dagger with Ivory Grip and Deluxe Scabbard. Fire gilted brass hilt fittings show surface wear with traces of gilting remaining in recesses of open crown pommel, large capstan style crossguard, and heavy quillon block with naval motif. Ivory grip is nicely age toned with no chips and one tiny hairline crack on reverse adjacent to upper crossguard. Double-etched blade with sailing ship motif on both obverse and reverse. Fire gilt-over-brass deluxe scabbard. Deluxe scabbard features heavily-chased body with upper, center, and lower panels with raised oak leaves on stippled background. Scabbard is complete with heavily-chased suspension bands and rope type scabbard rings. This scabbard is one of the most unique Imperial Navy scabbards we have seen. Nice Imperial Navy dagger with unique scabbard. Comes complete with original bullion portepee in -reef knot- tie showing dark age patina and moderate wear.
