Air Force Dagger [Luftwaffe], German - Carl Eickhorn Solingen

Air Force (Luftwaffe) Dagger with Deluxe Hangers and Portepee. Polished natural finished aluminum hilt fittings show surface wear with factory darkening remaining in the recesses of the well detailed pommel with hand-enhancing to the outer oak leaf motif and crossguard with raised oak leaf motif on the upper surfaces of the quillons. Beautiful dark orange, solid celluloid grip shows no damage and no wear to obverse with a small surface gouge to reverse but, no chips and is complete with springy wire wrap. Dent-free, steel scabbard shows some very minor loss to platting and discoloration with scabbard throat retained by two side-mounted headless screws. Dagger comes with a deluxe set of hangers which grade EX+ showing wear/age to the facings and velvet backings but, no tears or fraying and are complete with deluxe oak leaf embellished fittings The reverse of the upper fitting is marked, U.E.10 RZM and D.R.G.M., clips are also marked D.R.G.M.
