SA Dagger [Early Version] by Gustav Spitzer Solingen
This early SA [Sturmabteilung] Dagger is in EXC condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37,5 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Gustav Spitzer Solingen.
Grip: Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light wear with reverse lower crossguard marked “No” for North Sea. Reddish-brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows light surface wear and with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset.
Blade: The reverse ricasso of the blade has the trademark of the Gustav Spitzer Solingen firm, in a circle with a Lion TM. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. This shell has dark brown paint, which still appears to all be in place. The nickel scabbard mounts are also in fine condition. These mounts are retained by all four original nickel screws.
