SA Dagger [Early Version] with Hanger by Fritz Barthelemes Muggendorf

This SA [Sturmabteilung] Dagger in EXC+ condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.3 cm. Early Nickel fittings, lower guard with "Fr" stamp. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Fritz Barthelemes Muggendorf.

Grip: The mounts on this example are all solid nickel. The lower crossguard is Gruppe marked, “Fr”. This grip is of medium contour construction and is in fine condition exactly meeting the crossguards.

Blade: The blade is in EXC++ condition. The SA motto Alles für Deutschland «Everything for Germany» is crisp and deep having most of the darkening in the background letters. The ricasso area still has the full trademark on the bottom Fritz Barthelemes Muggendorf. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour.

Scabbard: The scabbard shell is a EXC example. The scabbard mounts are of solid matching nickel. The mounts are retained by solid nickel screws which are all in place. Attached to the carrying ring is a good short hanger. The hanger has supple leather and is complete with the small retaining ring.
