This 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger, produced by Tiger, is an absolute textbook example, and is in fine condition overall. Model 1937. The total length is 43.0 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Tiger Solingen.

Grip: The grip of this dagger is a fine, off-white color, and is in choice, perfect condition. It is tightly wrapped with twisted silver wire. The pommel is the style with pebbled backgrounds to the oak leaves. These oak leaves are nicely detailed, and they surround the raised swastikas that appear on both sides of the pommel. These swastikas are in original gilded finish. The crossguard is also a great example. The generic variety has large pebbling on the reverse panel. The eagles on these guards are especially nice as the tops of the wings slightly overlap the depiction. This bird has complete detail to the head, breast and wing feathering, as well as the talons. The upper surface of the quillons are decorated with a pattern of oak leaves and acorns cast into the surfaces.

Blade: The blade is in EXC++ condition throughout. The reverse ricasso is etched with a Tiger trademark (Lauterjung & Co. TIGER in Solingen). The original leather blade buffer is in place.

Scabbard: The scabbard is also a fine example. It is coated with an airplane gray finish. It has outstanding crisp pebbled panels and the bands are a fine aluminum having excellent detail to the oak leaves. The throat is slightly thick and is retained by ony headless flush mount screw.
