Canteen is aluminum, oval-shaped, maker marked and date stamped "CFL38" (Carl Feldhaus Aluminium-und Metallwerke, Lüdenscheid, 1938) on the neck, screw thread on the neck, curved on the reverse to allow for wearing around the waist, black drinking cup, the canteen encased in a brown wool cover with three snap closures on the leftside.
